Conrad Murray's attorney speaks to media No Demerol, Didn't Live with Michael Jackson Ed Chernoff spoke to the media on Monday and said that Dr. Conrad Murray was cooperative with the police in his three hour meeting with Los Angeles police. Mr. Chernoff said that Doctor Murray found Michael Jackson with a pulse, on the bed, but not breathing. He said that at no time has Dr. Murray prescribed Demerol, adminstered the narcotic, or found him using it. Dr. Conrad Murray's attorney said that the bed was hard and that the compressions were performed with one hand on the back and one on the chest. Mr. Chernoff said that his client wasn't living with Michael Jackson and that he would check on Mr. Jackson in the evening when Mr. Jackson would request him.He said "this was one of those nights." |
No one asked does this mean that the doctor was with Mr. Jackson for the night? What were the circumstances that led to Dr. Murray's presence in the house that morning if he wasn't living in the house? The report was Mr. Jackson received a shot at 11:30 am and that there were problems soon after. A few things left out were what about reports that Michael Jackson was found in the living room and that the doctor and the security guard moved him to a bed nearby? Why does the attorney's version differ than what was on the 911 call that the doctor had seen what happened? How long was the doctor performing CPR before they called 911? I think the claim that the doctor wasn't living with Michael Jackson is to deflect any claims of negligence. If the doctor had knowledge that Michael Jackson was taking Demerol then it was incumbent on the doctor to have Narcan to reverse the effects of an overdose. I wonder why there wasn't a defibrillator in the house.
